The Put A Bird On It initiative aims to put New York City artists to work painting large-scale murals of birds all over the five boroughs in a wide range of artistic styles from expressionism to realism to graffiti art.

Our goal is to animate neighborhoods in need of beautification while also promoting climate equity awareness.

The initiative is funded by state and city grants, local civic associations, climate advocacy groups and is supplemented by community donations as needed.
